Topics & Learning objectives of the workshop
Day 1: The concept of learning theories
Day 2: Educational strategies taking The SPICES model for educational strategies as example.
By the end of the sessions participants will be able to:
1. Define Learning process and explain the different between learning and teaching .
2. Discuss some Learning Theories relevant to medical education.
3. Evaluate the three major learning theories in relation to following criteria:
• How does learning occur
• Role of learner
• Role of teacher
4. Applying learning theories in different learning strategies and methods.
5. Define the SPICES Model and its component .
6. Explain how SPICES model is used for curriculum planning and reviewing.
7. Develop learning strategies in curriculum using the SPICES model. |
